"Micky and I first met through our good friends Megan Baustian (Maid of Honor) and Brian Salo (Best Man) in 2008. It all began as a joke between our two friends. They said, "How funny would it be if Micky and Ally met, started dating, and then got married? Ally's name would be Ally Loupe, like Ally-Oop!!!" At the time, I just rolled my eyes and thought, "Yeah right!" Besides, it was quite a stretch with Micky being stationed in California at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, and myself living in Duluth,MN finishing up my Bachelors at the College of St. Scholastica.

Several months went by and Megan and Brian gave up on the "Ally-Loop" joke. However, one morning I opened my email and to my surprise Micky had sent me an email. I remember his email vividly and its read something like this:

"Hi, apparently our friends are trying to play match maker. I just thought I'd introduce myself or I'll never hear the end of this "Ally-Loop" joke from Brian. So my name is Micky, I have nice teeth, I wear nice shoes, and I love my mom. Now, I better end this email before it sounds like a bad country song. Micky Loupe."

To be honest, I thought he was a little crazy at first, but somehow after many emails and phone conversations, he stole my heart during my first visit to Cali!

Over the next couple of years, our relationship grew in a million different directions as did our lives: Two deployments, two moves across country, graduate school, etc. Luckily, Mic has a great knack for writing letters-we exchanged letters/packages almost every week, and we were fortunate to see each other as often as possible!

After finishing my first internship in physical therapy I flew out to CA to welcome Micky home from his second deployment. I made plans to fly into Fresno, CA one day before he flew into the States from Bahrain. Little did I know, he would be waiting for me at the airport when I flew in, dressed in his white uniform, on one knee, asking me to be his wife!!!!"
