'We actually knew each other in high school! However, it was only years later that we reconnected through social media when Hunter was stationed in California in the Army. We spent several months FaceTiming every night having virtual movie nights. We finally got to see each other face to face in November of 2021 when he had his dad drive him all the way from Mississippi to Plaquemine so that I could drive him to the New Orleans airport to fly back to base. Fast forward to Christmas of 2021, he came down for two weeks and we spent the entirety of that time together! That's when things became official! At the end of January 2022 Hunter was finishing his active duty contract so I flew across the country to California so that we could make a road trip out of the journey home! On that trip was the first time Hunter told me he loved me while we were touring a beautiful cave on the beach of La Jolla, California. Hunter moved to Lafayette and I stayed in Plaquemine. During this time Hunter enrolled in nursing school at ULL and I was finishing up my last semester at ULL, finally graduating in December of 2022! The month before, in November, Hunter proposed to me on Thanksgiving in front of my family! By the end of December we had moved in together! All of these adventures are just the beginning of our life long love story!'
